It’s God’s rescue plan for man.  God says in His word “no flesh will enter Heaven” this is because we are all infected with a deadly spiritual virus called sin. We cannot cure ourselves. “While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.” Romans 5 v 8.  The righteous for the unrighteous.

YOU ARE NOT ALONE GOD LOVES YOU AND IS FOR YOU!!!

What has happened to me?

For those who genuinely prayed through the commitment prayer “As far as the east is from the west, so far has He removed our transgressions from us” according to Psalm 103 v12.  It will take a while for your theology to catch up with your experience.  In praying through the commitment prayer three steps are taken,

The sheer enormity of what God has achieved in Christ is completely mind blowing. For example the scriptures faithfully say in Psalm 19 v1 “the heavens declare the glory of God and the firmament shows His handwork”.  Modern technological advances have demonstrated the inconceivable magnitude of the universe and the distances involved that we just cannot comprehend.  Human minds cannot take in the numbers of stars in just one galaxy or the number of galaxies that have recently been found as we probe deeper and deeper into space.  God has said in Isaiah 48 v13 “My right hand has stretched out the heavens”.  God is responsible for making it all.  We are told that God has made everything that exists through His Son Jesus Christ and that all things hold together through Him.  

What we can say is our galaxy is just a speck in the known universe and our sun just a speck in our galaxy. The earth is one of the smaller planets in our solar system and you and I are just specks on this planet of ours, one person among 6,000,000,000.  We all think that we are so important and that it all revolves around us.  We, who are so small, think we are so great.  The human heart is proud and arrogant.  While we were still sinners Christ died for us. So here we have it, the God of all creation wants a personal relationship with you and me enough to come and pay the penalty of our sin and wrongdoing on the cross of Calvary.  Why, because His nature is love.  God knew that our sin and wrong made a separation between us and God and that to be able to dwell in his presence and not to be consumed by His holiness we would require a perfect righteousness, a righteousness that would have to be provided for us and not one of our own making that is right in our own eyes.
